It's hard to believe that we are already a month into summer and that the farmers are already bringing in their first harvest of hay.

The society has been very busy this summer with the first mudbog of the season, rodeo and a few horse events already under it's belt. The hall has been busy with wedding season and the beautification committee has resumed work around the pond.

The playground has had some maintenance done with the addition of some tires to absorb some of the bounce from the teeter-totter. The track had some upkeep done and there is rarely a day that you don't see volunteers on the grounds doing something.

If you think that it's all over until the fall, think again! We have mudbogs booked for August 17-18 and again on September 28th and 29th. The Christmas Market vendor application day is set to go August 1st at 1:30 PM. We will also be hosting the much anticipated RCMP Musical Ride on August 29th.

We are always looking for volunteers and people to join our committees. If you may be interested in helping out in some capacity, we would love to add you to our team!

And as for those farmers who are experiencing a very wet summer, so far, we wish you a bountiful crop, healthy animals and a prosperous year.

For those of you on the road, we hope that everyone remembers that while farm machinery must obey stop signs and yield signs that it does have the right of way on the roads. Drive safely and have a wonderful summer!
