Whitecourt District Agricultural Society

Welcome to the Whitecourt District Agricultural Society website.

We are a non-profit organization located 8 km south of Whitecourt on Hi-way 32 and are dedicated to a better quality of life for everyone in our community. Founded in 1995, the Society's members were largely made up of people with an agricultural background. Over the years, the membership has developed into a more balanced community, made up of families that have moved into the area to either retire or work and families wanting to have more agricultural influence within the community.  For this reason, the Society has grown to be more diverse in its programming and events to accommodate this change.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the sponsors and volunteers that make all of our events happen.  Without them, our functions would not be possible.

We host a variety of events throughout the year, including Whitecourt Woodland Rodeo in June, the Westward Christmas Market In November, Alberta Barrel Racing throughout the summer and winter months, Family Day function, to name a few.  A large number of clubs make use of the facilities: Westward Riders Horse Club, WAG (Whitecourt Agility Group), Whitecourt 4-H horse Club. We also have a 5/8 mile Race Track and Rodeo Grounds and host the Whitecourt Woodlands Rodeo in June every year.  These groups encourage anyone interested, in any of these clubs, to come on out and join.

Our annual membership fees are $15.00 per person which gives you added benefits, using our facilities, so I would encourage you to purchase one.

Our goal is to continue to improve our facilities and programs to accommodate the community's needs.  If you have any suggestions or an event that you may want, please contact the hall by phoning (780) 779-4343 or faxing (780) 779-4347 or log onto our website at whitecourtag.ca
